Wendy Cross
Program Director
 Wendy became involved with NextAid in 2006, leaving a career in TV commercial production for meaningful experiences in humanitarian work. She spent two years living in South Africa overseeing NextAid’s projects there and in Kenya. Wendy supervised the early construction phase of our Youth With A Vision Community Center in Dennilton and helped build the capacity of our partner organization’s management team in administration systems, technology, and fundraising. Now based in San Francisco, Wendy focuses her efforts on fundraising, managing the Kawangware Vision Centre project in Kenya, and developing future small-scale projects in other African countries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television Production from Chapman University and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development with a focus on International Community Development Management from SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont. Wendy most recently worked on the development team at The Global Fund for Children as a Grant Writer.
