This fall, WIRED Magazine is bringing its vision of a new world's fair to Los Angeles. Experience more than 160 bold and exciting exhibits from scientists, researchers, and inventors around the globe including robots, personal flying vehicles, Mars suits, a virtual climbing wall and vein viewers. WIRED NextFest features innovations in communication, design, entertainment, exploration, health, play, robots, transportation, security, and green living.  

NextAid is the exclusive provider of musical entertainment and DJs for the fourth annual Wired NextFest. Join NextAid there as we delve into the future of sustainable living and of finding sustainable solutions for our children in South Africa.

Visitors of all ages are welcome. The fourth annual NextFest is begins with "Education Day" on Thursday, September 13 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for students and teachers in the Los Angeles area to experience this educational and interactive event for free.

WIRED NextFest will be open to the general public
Friday, September 14 from 12 noon – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday September 15 from 9:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.
Sunday September 16 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per day for each public day (14th, 15th, 16th)

What's on display at our booth:

NextAid will have a booth space in the Test Drive area of NextFest Attendees will be able to take a self-guided tour of the NextAid village project in South Africa and will have the opportunity to make a donation. Items offered in exchange for donations will include custom temporary tattoos (for the kids), custom mouse-pads, the 2005 Om Records/NextAid benefit CD compilation called reBOOT , and NextAid branded caps. Most importantly, philanthropists and corporations will be able see a display of buildings that can be "adopted" Visit www.nextaid.org/adoptaproject.htm

Experience Test Drive is an exciting interactive zone at WIRED NextFest where visitors can try out a selection of hot new products that are or will soon be commercially available. Test Drive features hands-on demonstrations from some of the world's most innovative publishing, computing, environmental, and entertainment companies.

 

Saturday night benefit After-Party: Next Steps

After a day of mind-expanding exhibits at WIRED's NextFest head down the street to Gallery Row where Infusion Gallery is hosting a fundraiser for  NextAid + Architecture for Humanity Los Angeles .  The evening will consist of an architectural design and art exhibit, a DJ party and a silent art auction , drinks for sale, munchies for free.  Read our press release and see our flyer here. www.nextaid.org www.afhla.org
